Hi, I’m Sherri Gallowitz. I like to ask questions. Incisive questions that cut to the heart of your communications challenge. Questions that will allow us to explore your organizational values, competitive environment, strengths and opportunities. Then I listen. Very. Carefully.I’ve been working for over 25 years as a branding specialist, graphic designer, art director, and illustrator. I bring this extensive experience to organizations and businesses in the not-for-profit, social services, educational, environmental, and arts & cultural sectors. I am a design thinker– research and process are integral to my work. I will do whatever it takes to gain an in-depth understanding of YOUR organization, sector, and environment in order to provide you with strategic direction, creative concepts, messaging and design that are on-target and deliver results. Throughout my career I’ve strived to do great work. With my company, G, I’m passionate about doing work that’s not only great, but also good.
My first priority will be to gain meaningful insight. Why? I get a thrill out of connecting the dots. I have a curious and analytical mind, and love understanding context. It is my years of experience, my love of research and my respect for your expertise. It is my commitment to understanding YOUR unique challenges, priorities and concerns.
My next step is to translate this insight into branding and design that is grounded in Authenticity. Substance over salesmanship. Truth over trendiness. Design as communication rather than decoration. Honest. Real. Your mandate will be clear, your brand, publication, campaign, or website will resonate. Your stakeholders will love you for it.
Here is where I apply design thinking. Information collected during the previous steps are a solid foundation on which to build insightful and authentic creative concepts. Inspiration can come in stages or as the proverbial “Aha!” moment. Smart and meaningful concepts expressed in elegant and powerful design … to inspire change.

“Sherri is credited as the designer for our website, but her contribution goes beyond its beautiful and dynamic look. Through rigourous comparisons with other organizations, and a thorough needs assessment, Sherri recommended the best platform for the site, and also suggested exciting content possibilities aligned with our goals. Sherri gives a lot of attention to detail, creating impeccable design elements, while never losing sight of the ‘big picture’ . I have a lot of confidence in her ability to join a project and find its pulse. For website design that really meets practical needs and reflects the essence of your organization, I would highly recommend Sherri!”
